Got that before with my wired router on my 2nd PC. After trying so many things, when I turned the router and modem off and on, the connection suddenly worked.

Well I sorted it out and it seems similar to your solution Conan.Called D-Link support and they said no problems were reported for my adapters for after xpsp2 was installed. So we tried every renewal process for the ip,channel check, network name, plug and unplug adapter.I turned off my Panda firewall and nothing. Then I restarted windows with the adapter cardbus still in it's port and the firewall still off and voila I had a connection again.I re-enabled my firewall and still had the connection.Must have something to do with sp2 though because when I disabled Panda's firewall the security alert tray icon had a warning popup that said that a firewall was disabled.I'll tinker with the 2 securities and see what I can find.![]()
The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.
