Accessing NTFS disk when NT can't boot.
I have put a key in the NT4 registry which prevents the system booting. I need either to access the registry, or possibly I can fix it if I can move a certain file from one folder to another - the key defines a path which is incorrect.
Creating an NT boot-disk doesn't bypass the registry, and booting from a DOS boot-disk leaves me unable to see C: since DOS only understands FAT partitions and we have NTFS.
Is there some way I can see the C: drive to create folders and preferably edit the registry? The former is an easier starting point since to edit the registry would presumably need some editor, unless it's stored in human-readable form?
This is kinda urgent, any help much appreciated.
Thanks.

Go here
http://www.datapol.de/dpd/prod/ntfs4dos/index.html
This is a free reader and writer that will make you able to see the ntfs partition with a dos boot disk (:-)

One of the best recovery products to have in your bag of tricks is Knoppix STD.
It runs from cd, can access file systems, edit files. In short it is a linux distro that runs entirely from cd.
The link is: http://www.knoppix-std.org/
Much more information can be found on the site.
