nLite can do the same with a just a few clicks.
I installed nlite once. Did not know what it was. Should I do that? Will it delete unneeded files aready on my pc?
It doesn't work in that manner. It's for creating slipstream installs of Service Packs and then you can remove a ton of unwanted Windows components like MSN Explorer, system file protection, etc., it then creates a bootable ISO. You can also create an unattended install (I haven't opted for this since it changes the way users are logged in).Originally Posted by lynchknot
I've actually slipstreamed my NIC and sound drivers into the Windows install disc, instead of installing them after Windows.![]()
Does it work for most drivers, ie Video cards too? I guess if you are installing XP of different hardware at different times then it would be pointless...Originally Posted by Conan
Oh well, I dont mind 40 min installs, time for a cup of coffee or two
nLite is a good alternative though and fairly simply to use.

It works for all drivers. I also slipstreamed the latest Catalyst drivers available. You can configure it for a highly customized or a very basic install.Originally Posted by cash_site

Custom.Retestrak.XP.Pro.SP2.Unattended.DVD.iso
Custom.Retestrak.XP.Pro.SP2.Unattended.CD.iso
Retestrak.XP.Corp.SP2.Unattended.DVD.Internal.rar
ths wait is over

Jan and I were moving around my guide on her site, and we accidentally gave it a new URL. So I thought you would want to know about the change.

Jan's site is the only other site on the Internet that I have given permission to to post Slimming Down Windows XP: The Complete Guide in its entirety.
She has been a strong supporter of mine over the years.
Wishing you the best fun anyone could have with Windows XP.
