Computer starts itself up after being logged off
I actually have 2 questions.
I recently had windows xp installed on one of my computers. After I log off windows and turn the computer power off, about 20 minutes later it turns itself back on.
Any Ideas on how to stop that or what causes it.
The other is, does anybody know where I can find a list of processes that should be running on my task manager, or a reference list to check against and see what the ones I have running are. I have no Idea what all of them are. It seems that I have alot of programs on there that I have no clue as to what they are.
Thanks in advance for your help.

For the computer waking up you might have "Wake up on LAN" enabled, and something is starting the computer. Check the BIOS and disable the function to see if that fix the problem. For a list of process what you can do is type the process in google.com.
For process list there are a lot.
http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=process+list
Google will turn out some nice results

Also try checking you acpi settings in your bios. Or just do a hard reset of your cmos. Also, you could just plug it into a powerstrip and turn that off when it's not in use..won't be able to turn on doing that.
