If you are still having trouble I would start by pulling the modem out and seeing how it wil run for a day or so...

Thanks for the suggestion, rik. The computer admin at school suggested the same thing. However, over 80% of the time I spend on my PC is online so I'll have to borrow another modem first.

Puters are great when all is well, but a pain in the a** when something goes amiss.
