    Sounds good and so does XP Repair or format & clean install. Before you do that you should put your XP cd in your CD-Rom, open the Command Prompt and type sfc /scannow (note space between sfc & /) and let it replace your system files if they need be.

    Also run Memtest 86 and make sure your ram is good.

    The hang your talking about is most likely from your touch pad and this is the error 3.Faulting application syntpenh.exe, version 5.7.0.0, faulting module ntdll.dll, version 5.1.2600.2180, fault address 0x00018fea.
