    Windows Media Player

    Can Windows Media Player contract viruses when music is played live from the internet? (Live as in streaming data)

    I don't believe so.. but I guess it depends on the source. I suppose any file can be infected with a virus..

    Not specifically a virus from the streaming media, however, there are several scripting flaws in non-patched versions of Media Player 9 that could allow remote access... ensure you update WMP or upgrade to v10.
