You can get video cards to OC real good if you do voltage mods, flash bios and add better cooling. On the high end cards the generic software OC sometimes isn't worth it, only certain cards are classic OC'ers and save you a bunch of money by buying one. The Nvidia Ti 4200 was such a card, you could save a bunch of $$$ and OC that card so it would run with the best of it's day.
