I say try them again. If you get the same errors, it could be an error in the Network temporarily.

    I'll try bitdefender later.

As for the MSfonts, open up xandros network, do a search and use the term msttcorefonts.

Don't use that apt-get stuff. do it through the Xandros network and it should work. At least it did for me.

Did you actually try installing it? Of course there will be a transition period where everything looks confusing, difficult and out of the norm... but after you cross that threshold, there's no going back. It's all sweet potato pie and shut my mouth.

I know that this is no help, but the default drivers worked fine with my ATI card. I did change the scan rate to 1024 x 768, 85 Herz.

    Huh?

Some packages could not be installed. This may mean that you have
requested an impossible situation or if you are using the unstable
distribution that some required packages have not yet been created
or been moved out of Incoming.
Since you only requested a single operation it is extremely likely that
the package is simply not installable and a bug report against
    that package should be filed.
msttcorefonts: Depends: cabextract (>= 0.1-2) but it is not installable

You added the unstable tree to the resources didn't you?
I'm using Windows 7 - you got a problem with that?

    Rik,
Pop your Xandros install CD back into the drive. Reboot. Run the setup again, and it will basically restore your system back to a prestine state.

I did this at the very beginning of my intro to Xandros. It works 100%.

You can also remove cxoffice via the menu then reload it again to get your 30 days back - but you gotta load all the apps again.

Me too and I used the apt-get black magic incantation.
Perhaps something else is screwed up, remember the old saying about debian
"If it breaks you can keep both pieces."
