Look in event viewer and you should find some kind of error telling you why it failed to start.
Was wondering if anyone had come across this one before, i have a windows XP machine with service pack 2 installed, norton a-v 2005 using windows firewall and microsoft anti-spyware (Giant Anti-spyware).
The Windows update Time Service has stopped, when i start the update service it stops again almost instantly, i have tried disabled all anti-spyware and virus and firewall products but still does the same, there is no virus or spyware apparent on the pc.
any help would be gratefull.
Thanks![]()

I'm using Windows 7 - you got a problem with that?
