    Unhappy Windows XP double click search

    when i double click a drive instead of going into that drive it opens the search any ideas how to get it back to just plain old OPEN please, its driving me nuts

    Download the attached zip file and unpack the enclosed reg files.

    Double click the reg files to merge them into the registry and this will set "open" back to defaults.

    folderopennosearch.reg is for opening folders

    and

    driveopennosearch.reg is for opening drives

    That should fix it.

    oohh i had the same problem when i installed xp pro for 1st time...i couldnt fix it so i installed again....now it works cool!!
