Those little fpop-ups that ask if you want to remember this action.

Hope this is the correct forum 'cause I don't know if this is a software or XP thingy.

Anyway, I get these popups from time to time when I'm dealing with different programs. I get asked "What do you want to do?" and then there is a checkbox for "Remember this action."

If I put a check in the checkbox however, IT IS NEVER REMEMBERED.

Is there something I can do to get the action remembered?
I've created my own website...a collection of moving, sad and happy and humorous poems which I would like to share with others. They come from stories my dad used to tell me when I was a kid. If you could glance at my site and if you know of others who might enjoy it and perhaps tell them of it, I would be most appreciative. Thank you. It depends which program displayed the pop-up box... was it XP, or firewall or IE etc?? It is remembered if the exactly same thing happens... eg... IE wants to access internet, allow firewall (YES).... next time you start IE, it wont ask you... but if you start FFox, it will ask you

Well in this instance--the instance that caused me to ask my question- it was displayed by Counterspy. It asks the question each time I boot even though I tell it to remember my decision (which was to "allow" all the time--so that it would not ask again. (The little pop-up is named Counterspy.) I have FF and IE but was not on line at the time. I run XP.
