error 1919
Does anyone have any tricks for eliminating the "error 1919" with XP? This occurs when you uninstall Corel's WordPerfect trial version that comes with some computers. Apparently this removes some dll's and registry entries that are shared with MS Office and whenever you use an Office feature, you get a "Windows Install" dialog box and subsequent "error 1919" prompts -- very annoying!! Lots of verbage on the Microsoft website, but having done everything that has been posted to do without success, am looking for some advice (other than format and reinstall system!)
Thanx

Welcome to techzonez.
Have tried the solution in the M$ kb article here.
Also have you tried system restore.Choose a restore point from before you uninstalled word perfect.
