With the cd removed in original config it still requests for the cd when the boot device is selected.

With the cd in it just starts the process again. The hard drive has been put as boot device 1.

with RAID disabled it gets to the boot device selection and the screen goes blank, after a few seconds it informs me a hard disk is not configured properly.

With both SATA 1 and 2 disabled it gets to the initial installation (copying of files screen) but of course can't recognise the drive.
