I received an E-mail today from Adobe. It stated that the ship date for CS2 would be pushed back to the end of the month from the begining, due to concerns regarding hackers and the new activation process. Do they really think it can be prevented ?

I'm sure they think they can, will they ? I doubt itDo they really think it can be prevented
There isn't anyway they can permanently safeguard it from hackers. They will find a way sooner or later.

Photoshop CS2 is a nice program, with some good features, is it that much better than CS1 ?
I do not know yet. I just started using it. I think, make that I know, the new ADOBE BRIDGE, is powerfull, but the File Browser (read that as like ACDSee) in CS1 was quicker and easier to use as far as I am concerned.
One thing I have yet to figure out, is how to get the Extensis Photobars to work with it. They worked without any problems with CS1 but nothing I can do, or the local guru can do, will get these to activate.
Just my initial thoughts.

On another board, there is a posting, that refers to a contact with someone who works for Adobe. In that posting, there is a statement that Adobe suspects that the person who creates the cracks also works for them.
DUH! Why would that be a shock ?
LOL, as does the rumor that Norton Antivirus are the real creators of MyDoom, Bagle and Netsky virus

Keeping yourself in business makes a lot of sense. I am sure if Adobe finds (if he/she exists) who permits people to get the use of their products for free... it will be a whole different thing
