Firefox surfs a bit faster than Konqueror. Also, if you're bold, you can disable some services running in the background. Funny thing about Linux/Unix - you're running a GUI on top of a shell. Like Windows v3.1 and DOS. Soon you'll start experimenting with KDE vs Gnome (and the tons of themes for each). Suse vs Mandrake vs RedHat vs Fedora vs FreeBSD vs... well you get the picture.
