Where did Microsoft hide XPSP2BlockerTools
It used to be on their site, with a link - Toolkit to Temporarily Block Delivery of Windows XP SP2 to a PC Through Automatic Updates and Windows http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...displaylang=en (from Microsoft tech support e-mail) Should have saved it to a CD

I believe that was removed, April 15th or so, when the company had announced that as of that date, they would no longer support automatic updates to "plain old XP". I am sure you can find the full information on that posted somewhere.

Okay - nevermind, finally found an article about it - time limited download. Guess I'll just have to leave automatic updates off. . . . or get more serious about just heading to Linux.

Why are you so scared of getting SP2?? Soon you will need it for windows updates and also go through the Genuine Product validation script...
So... Linux might come sooner than you think
