    Question gpedit.msc (group policy editor)

    My copy of windows xp does not have this file , can anyone tell me where to download this file?

    To answer your question, you are running Home I believe. Home does not have gpedit.msc just Pro....

    Tinker hit the horse in the nose on this one. Windows XP Home does not have this feature, to get this feature you need to upgrade to the Professional Edition.
    If however you do have the professional edition and this file is missing, contact Microsoft for a replacement CD telling them of your issue. I am sure they will be more than happy to send you a fully functional replacement.
