I am using the setting from the information I posted with no problems. I also went over to the local univeristy today, and asked in the computer department.

I was told that the function must be supported, as if it was not a BLUE SCREEN would appear with a registry error on a restart. I was also told to check the C:\Windows\Prefetch folder to see if things were stored there. If there were it was working correctly. To make sure, I was told to delete everything in the folder and restart; use my computer for a while and then check again.

All seems to be fine, and the machine seems to be better, not sure why but it does.

Tried this tweak, I don't know if I was imagining things but my reboot seemed faster after this. Still evaluating the rest of my system.
