So MS Backup didn't do what you need?
Is there some way in XP to setup active syncing? I have two hard drives and basically I want the computer to automatically mirror a folder from one hard drive to the other for redundency whenever there is a change. I tried the backup scheduler feature, but that didn't do what I want. TIA!

What do you mean exactly?Originally Posted by bcraig

The folders I need to keep backedup are GBs in size, so the backup scheduler would take forever to copy. I need one that if I save it to one folder, it will create a copy in a mirrored folder on the other drive in near real time.
Then the best thing I can think of is to run a mirrored RAID.
SyncToy for Windows XP. This looks like it should work.

That looks very cool Tinker. Good job!
It works fine but for an automatic synchronization you have to add a task in the Scheduled Tasks tool of WinXP.
All Programs -> Accessories -> System Tools -> Scheduled Tasks.
Click on Add Scheduled Task and follow the wizard.
O YA!! that is the perfect program. I downloaded it and it works great. Thanks so much for finding that. I had given up hope of finding a windows solution and was starting to look for 3rd party software, but that does the trick. It just came out in August 2005 too!
