Cannot create toolbar error when creating Quick Launch toolbar

Can someone please tell me what the path is on their desktop shortcut in the quick launch toolbar?

The problem:
I get the 'cannot create toolbar' error when trying to enable quick launch in XP.

This guide contains a solution which doesnt work for me.

I manually created a Quick Launch folder at C:\Documents and Settings\Tarun\Application Data\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Quick Launch and dragged stuff into it.
I cannot create the display desktop button that minimises all open windows.

I have tried copying the 'send to desktop' icon from the 'send to' folder but it doesnt do the job.

Creating a shortcut to C:\Documents and Settings\{username}\Desktop only opens the desktop folder.
