Nintendo, a maker of entertainment devices, announced on Monday that it plans to unleash all the details about the code-named Revolution console that is supposed to be commercially available in 2006. While some very brief details about the part were already released at Game Developers Conference 2005, the company plans to put the wraps off the specifications of the console at the next show.

“You’ll hear all the incredible details about Nintendo’s upcoming games and hardware, including our next home console, code-named Revolution. You won’t want to miss it,” a letter by Nintendo to journalists dedicated to game consoles, which was published by Joystiq web-site, reads.

Nintendo’s E3 media briefing, where Nintendo plans to unveil the peculiarities of the code-named Revolution console, is scheduled for 9:30AM on the 9th of May, 2006. The even will be held at the Kodak Theatre in Hollywood, California.
