STop 0x0000008E error
My buddy's laptop keeps getting the error STOP 0x000008E error followed by (0xc0000005,0x80576F73,0xF6D27988,0x00000000)
I have tried everything , including memtest to rule out bad ram....Any ideas???

What does Event Viewer show? Or you can install WinDbg from http://www.microsoft.com/whdc/devtoo...g/default.mspx and that will allow you to read the dump file that the error has created. Hopefully it will point you towards what is causing the error.
