Hi,
I keep getting this error message when I try to send emails from Outlook. Has anybody got any ideas what I can do about this, it's driving me mad!!
"An unknown error has occurred. Subject 'Re: model', Account: 'mail.virgin.net', Server: 'mail.virgin.net', Protocol: SMTP, Server Response: '554 Sorry, this message is rejected here.', Port: 25, Secure(SSL): No, Server Error: 554, Error Number: 0x800CCC6F"
I seem to be recieving emails ok though.
Thanks! Ali

554 is a general error meaning the transaction couldn't be completed. Most common causes for this are 1) Incorrectly addressed mail 2) Mail larger than mailbox (video, pictures ...etc)
It should be noted that it only needs one bad mail and you will repeatedly get the message because OE keeps trying to resend the mail so check your outbox and see if all the mail is still there or just one which is being rejected. If it is just the one then delete it and start again.
I'm using Windows 7 - you got a problem with that?
If you search google for that error there's quite a lot of entries related to virgin account holders.
Fantastic! That seemed to fix it! Thank you so much!!!
