My computer keeps shutting down why?

I'd check the power supply on it... because it is new. As well as the power supply switch (it could be faulty.)

Further I'd run a memory test to see if memory could be responsible for the shutdown trouble.

Step 1
Download
http://www.memtest86.com/memtest86-3.1a.iso.zip

Step 2
Unzip the download to a folder.

Step 3
burn .ISO file to Disk using your preferred burning application (I use NERO)

Step 4
Place newly burned ISO in CDROM

Step5
Make sure CDROM is selected as first bootable device in your BIOS.

STep 6
with CDROM in drive *that is set as bootable and reboot the computer with the CDROM in the drive.

Step7
Follow the instructions on the screen to run the tests.
