    System restore and KB905474

Would doing a system restore back to about April 20, undo the changes made by KB905474 ?

KB905474 was released on January 26, 2006, I guess there's one way to find out..

Also you should be able to find that specific update in Add\Remove Programs. Just uninstall it from there.

As rik said, you can uninstall individual updates via Add/Remove.

In Add/Remove Programs make sure the "Show updates" box is checked otherwise the Windows updates you have installed will not appear in the list.

That surprises me. I thought that update KB905474 was one of those updates that could not be removed. I can't tell on my computer, since I never downloaded that update. I am loooking for info. for a friend. I did check my updates however. Most of them can be removed. However I do have three that can not be removed. A security update KB890046, An update for Windows Media Player 10 KB911565, and a Windows Genuine Advantage Validation Tool. This last one does not have a KB number, but all three say they can not be removed. If that KB905474 can be easily removed, why is it giving so many people problems like crashing etc. ?
