    You could also check in the registry keys to see if someone has placed a run/runonce/runonceex key which enokes this app. MSConfig applet can be used to address this issue. This is a common area where adware/virus fans place their wares. The keys are

    HKey_Local_Machine/Software/Microsoft/Windows/CurrentVersion/Run
    HKey_Local_Machine/Software/Microsoft/Windows/CurrentVersion/RunOnce
    HKey_Local_Machine/Software/Microsoft/Windows/CurrentVersion/RunOnceEx
