    Nasty (avi?) file

Hello. Star Trek fan here and I've gotten my hands on a particularly favorite episode of mine and can't view it. I've used GSpot to get the particulars. Is this file salvageable/viewable? I'm not sure what truncated means.

    Thanks!

Truncated: to shorten by or as if by cutting off.
In your case - probably not good.
You might want to get the file again.

Many thanks to egghead for the cool .sig

hmm. upon reading the "click for info" from gspot, it says the file is missing 6 bytes! sucks that an entire dowload of 1.2 gigs wouldn't play over 6 bytes

It depends on what you downloaded it with. If it was via torrent then you might not have any luck in salvaging it. (BT doesn't pull the file from beg to end, it pulls little file segments here and there and then puts it together)

If you got it from an ftp server or *evil* filesharing program (which neither I or techzonez support in any way) then you can try playing it in avipreview.
