    System board change

    hi,

    just moved my system disk oven in my new one,
    but it fails to start ?

    any cure for this

    well,

    i moved hard drive with xp pro installed to another mainboard incl
    processor,now it dont boot anymore,
    is there any way to perform a new hardware detect without
    reinstalling, ?

    Unless your new motherboard uses the same chipset as the old one,you may need to re-install XP.
    However it may be possible to recover your installation.

    I would boot up and press f8 or del and go into the bios and change it to boot from cd rom and do like your reinstalling but do a repair and that should keep all your progs...it will default your boot upscreen and welcome screen if they have been customed
