Sounds kinda pricey to me.
Core Duo T2400 (1.83GHz)
512 RAM
256 VRAM
80GB
15 WXGA Trubrite TFT
DVD super multi drive
XP Pro
Bluetooth, LAN, WLAN, Modem...
1 year warranty
It's a Toshiba, for $1400.
Sounds kinda pricey to me.
I guess it would be cheaper in US; new tech needs time to arrive hereI bought it anyway and I'm quite happy with it so far except for battery life.
Not bad. I'd want more RAM.
I tried to bargain but when I saw there was no way they'd reduce the price, I asked for a free (or cheap) RAM upgrade. But they didn't fall for it

Tough luck. Save up for one. You might need it when Vista is out. I'd love to have 1GB by that time, I've got only 512MB right now.
I'm not planning to upgrade to Vista. Plus it has got the Vista Capable sticker whatever that's worth.
I think that machine will suffice for nearly any and all tasks you throw at it.
Unlike XP I haven't even tried Vista yet.I have XP 64 bit installed and I don't have anything good to say about it except that it is fast, but there are no drivers for my Canon S750 and HP 4300C scanner, which I use alot.I am assuming that Vista has the option to install a 32 bit or 64 bit version. Not sure.
The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.
