Network printing problem
Hi, I have a Windows 2000 server with a clean install. I added a network printer on NT40 server that handles our network printing. The drivers seemed to install correctly but I'm not able to print to it. When I try a test page I immediatly get the message:
"The test page failed to print. Would you like to view the print troubleshooter for assistance? Operation could not be completed."
I have added a few other printers and got the same result. Any idea what could be causing this?
Thanks
Tim

can you ping the printer? Does the printer work locally? Are there any firewalls that could be blocking the printer?

That site covers general printer troubleshooting, but does include network troubles too.
