Previously, Torvalds has said that Linux users should switch to KDE instead of GNOME because of the GNOME team's "users are idiots" mentality. Now he has "put his money where his mouth is" by submitting patches to GNOME in order to have it behave as he likes

cuz I use both KDE & Gnome app's, so I like them both in that sense, but I like and use the KDE desktop.
I prefer KDE too.
It has better look-and-feel, better applications and... it's based on a great technology (the Qt library).
TIP: soon we will see al lot of Qt 4.x applications (KDE 4 included) running on windows... stay tuned!!(http://www.trolltech.com/developer/downloads/qt/windows)
