DNS or slow loading at TZ??

    Hi all,

has anyone been experiencing DNS errors or slow page loads here at TZ in the last few weeks? (other sites are ok)

Just want to check whether its my ISP or a general issue for other members.

    Thanks

its been slower than usually across the pond. was gonna say something but then it will be fine. its hit or miss from what I notice. but now dont have that much time to surf TZ so only hit it a couple of times a day.

Yes, I will remind you that I posted on this a couple weeks ago. http://www.techzonez.com/forums/showthread.php?t=23896 Everyone that responded stated that there didn't seem to be a problem, so I decided to drop it.

It is still happening. It takes 8 to 10 seconds to load the first page at TZ. Once there things go faster. As I stated in the above thread, TZ is the only place that I notice this slowdown.

It is real slow for me, a few times today it wouldn't load at all.

My browser (FF) said waiting for techzonez, DNS problems (on my end) usually say looking for techzonez.

Same experience here. But once it's loaded everything else seems ok speedwise.

Edit: It actually takes close to 10 seconds for the forum main page to load for me.

I thought your thread related to a slow down in member activity and not the slowness of pages loading

You are right. I went back and read that thread, something I should have done before posting it, and it was not the item I intended to post. Hell, I can't find the intended post at all. Maybe it was something that I intended to write and never got around to.

Regardless Reverend, you have gotten me to admit that you were right and I was wrong. Enjoy the moment.

I was experimenting this morning . I disabled Windows Defender and noticed a significant improvement in page loading speed. Maybe others can try it and report back.
