No Sound - Toshiba Satellite A25-S307 Laptop [FIXED]
Hey Guys,
Got no sound on this thing and can't figure out why....
Did some research but can't tie it to my specific model.
We know that it did have sound when it was given to us. However, because this is a DONATION that is to be RE-DONATED back to a needy student in our school district, it must be reformatted to erase all data and cc numbers and such from previous owner. Once it was reformatted with original system disk from Toshiba - (small wonder that we were given that!) it no longer had sound. It was updated - still no sound. Downloaded stuff from Toshiba site...still no sound.
Not really sure what the issue is here, we did some research and while there are some sound issues after updating windows, we can't seem to tie it directly to our model.
We really want to make a kid smile with this one....it is really nice. Is there something we are missing? Something we could try? The kid will be happier if the thing has sound.......
Thanks a bunch!
Sharon

I would try a set of external speakers or headphones if you havent already to see if you can get sound that way,In the least you will then know if its a hardware issue or driver issue.

You aren't going to believe this but...
The tiny sound wheel was so small and obscure, that until we downloaded the manual for the new user, we had no idea where it was....lol
We feel like idiots...LOL But the problem wasnt really a problem at all.
Thanks!
