    Running applications online

    Hi all!

OT/Haven't been on in quite a while, almost feels like I've abandoned tz... The sadness, the sheer sadness of it all.

    I'm over it now. *ehem/OT

Here's the question: I'm working on a system to that will allow certain people to access my server and be able to edit certain .wav files on their own. If I were to use a portable version of a program like Audacity, would I be able to store the files on the server and allow people to open up the .exe on their computer without them having to download anything? Everything I've tried so far seems to want me to download the files to use the program. Is this even possible?

    Thanks in advance!

Yep, prolly a VNC type connection might be good? But would use your internet bandwidth!

I don't think that you can do this without noticing some degradation to avail bandwidth. If I were going to try to do this, I would try Tight VNC which is optimized for low bandwidth usage.
