    MSN Messenger Dynamic Display Pics

    hello.

msn messenger has these avatar pictures called dynamic display pictures - which are animated avatars that come with all sorts of sounds that people can issue at any time and are typically loud and annoying.

my friend uses these annoying things and they come with all sorts of obnoxious sounds such as for 'nudge' or 'page' or even 'lol', is there any way to disable them on my end?

spose i could ask him not to use them, but i would just rather let him use it if it makes him happy and just disable the sounds on my end.

any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Here you go...

How can I block contacts from sending me Nudges?

If you find the Nudge feature distracting, you can block contacts from sending them to you.

    1. In the main MSN Messenger window, on the Tools menu, click Options.
    2. In the left pane, click Messages.
    3. Clear the Allow people to send me Nudges check box.
    4. Click OK.

Now, when someone sends you a Nudge, you will receive only the following message: You have just received a Nudge!

How can stop my contacts from sending me winks?

If you find the wink feature distracting, you can block contacts from sending them to you.

    1. In the main MSN Messenger window, on the Tools menu, click Options.
    2. In the left pane, click Messages.
    3. Clear the Play Winks automatically check box.
    4. Click OK.

You will still receive a notification that someone sent you a wink, but it won't play automatically.

    Tools \ Options \ Sounds
    Under Messenger events, uncheck Nudge.

Last night, I shot an elephant in my pajamas. How he got in my pajamas, I'll never know.
    love, piaqt
