I have a pretty upbeat computer using Windows 2000 pro and it just got attacked, probably by the Sasser worm. I think it may have been on there much earlier and still undetected by the latest McAfee, Regcure and CCleaner. My computer is bootlooping permanetly and says that MSASN1.dll was in the folder path. Per the autoreboot it says that C:\WINNT\SYSTEM32\lsass.exe was missing and code 128. This problem originated in 2004. Need disk to reinstall but it was OEM thus never came with the disk and the guy moved away. IS there a way to run regcure without booting up the computer? And why are all these old school Windows disks more money than regular XP or Vista disks?
