Thread: Open IE 8 in same window

    Red face Open IE 8 in same window

    I have just begun to use IE 8 and cannot find where to change the setting so that once IE is open, I can visit other websites in the same window but a different tab.

    I have tried going to Tool/Internet Options/Tabs/Settings/ Open Links from other programs in the same window, new tab..... I click on a link here and it opens another IE and a new window. I really only want to have one incident of IE open and be able to always work from that incident.

    Tabbed Browsing Settings.

    Enable.

    "Open links from other programs in: The current tab or window"

    Click OK. Restart IE.
