Mbps & KB/sec query
Hi All
A questions about Mbps vs KB/sec: all the conversion tools I've located on the 'net show that my fastest wired ADSL speed download (600 KB/sec) works out to 4.8Mbps. This being true, why is it that when I work on people's wireless networks at 54Mbps or 150Mbps that they are as slow as a wet blanket in comparison? In theory, even 54Mbps is 6750 KB/sec, so what gives? Why are these networks often plodding along at sub-100 or 200 KB/sec?
