    IE and activex

    Starting this topic as a result of looking into another issue.
    I use Firefox as my browser, always.
    I run Vista.

    Questions;
    1) can I remove, delete, or otherwise disable IE from my world

    2) do I need/want activex in my IE world or can I remove, delete or
    otherwise disable it from IE, assume I can't do #1

    Thanks

    under tools-> internet-> options-> security-> (internet) custom level

    what are the best settings under the activex sections ?

    Hmm.... I use FFox exclusively on my PC... i just set FFox to be my default internet browswer... then all my links/apps that need an internet window automatically open FFox.

    While i dont have any activeX (besides flash), i simply uninstall ActiveX/BHO/Toolbars etc by using Spybot.

    Is this what you're trying to do??
