How to NOT archive calendar & merge archived calendar back to normal
Hi All
I've only just discovered that Outlook has been archiving my calendar - I didn't even know it COULD do that, and most certainly do WANT it to do that.
So, 2 questions:
1) How does one stop archive from archiving the calendar?
2) How does one merge those calendar entries that have been archived back to the main calendar?
I use my calendar like a time sheet, so being able to easily search through the last 4-5 year's worth of calendar is very helpful / necessary.
Thanks

Right click the Calendar folder and select Properties.
There should be an Auto-Archive tab where you can change the settings.

For question 2, open the Archive folder and select the Calendar folder. You should be able to drag and drop the contents back to the main Calendar folder.

Thanks for your reply. I had a good look about before posting, and couldn't find the Properties option: found it after a bit more hunting.
In regards to the other, I know I can drag and drop individual calendar entries from the archive back to the current calendar - I have thousands of entries. As I mentioned, I use the calendar as a full work diary / time sheet system, so there are often 10-20 entries per day, most days of the week. Any more thoughts on a "bulk reinstatement" of the calendar archive?

Can you not select them all (Ctrl+A) and drag them back.

No, I can't. I tried doing a "Move", but all that did is create a new calendar - now I have 3... There must be a way to merge all 3 calendars into one. I suppose its worth mentioning that I'm using Office 2003, not 2007 or 2010 (I have no need to spend money on upgrading for no actual reason).

Copy the items from each calendar to one. Use the By Categories view.
Open the calendar that you want to merge. Go to the View > Arrange By and select By Category. Select all and drag the calendar items into the main calendar.
