You probably didn't know, but it's National Solitaire Day. It's also the 30th anniversary of Microsoft Solitaire debuting on Windows 3.0.

Microsoft introduced the classic game in 1990, and Solitaire hasn't left Windows since. In fact, it remains popular throughout the world. Offered in over 200 markets and 65 languages, Solitaire attracts more than 35 million players every month. It's a user base that generates more than 100 million hands daily across laptops, desktops, smartphones, and tablets.

To celebrate, Microsoft kicked off a global mission that aims to shatter the record for most Solitaire games completed in one day. Microsoft reminds everyone that Microsoft Solitaire Collection can be downloaded and installed free on Windows, iOS, and Android. It's also playable through any web browser. So no matter the platform, you're ready to play as many hands as you'd like in Solitaire and not pay a single penny. Interested in the global mission? Microsoft encourages all players to keep an eye on its Facebook page for updates.

Additionally, Solitaire fans can grab merchandise related to its 30th anniversary – a t-shirt and a mug are available through the Microsoft Store.
