wumply,is it mainly media files that you get the message with?
The reason i ask this is because there is a known issue with the way certain files are cached by the applications that are used to open/play them.
The easiest way to delete them is just rename to a different extension. (ignore the warning message)
i.e change a .mp3 file to a .txt file
You should then be able to delete them.
