i cant get my outlook xp to get my hotmail
I keep getting the inbox synchronizing error (0x800CCCF0) error. I looked it up, and it said that it comes up if you have more than 1 http account setup in outlook. But the thing is that i dont. I went to the outlook folder to look at the .pst data file and i noticed that everytime i try to delete the http account and try to reconfigure it, the name of the pst file goes up by one number, e.g,(OutlookHotmail-00000004). Im guessing that there is another file somewhere telling outlook that this isnt the only http mail thats setup. And i think this is why it doesnt work. I even tried uninstalling/ reinstalling the outlook client but it still does the same thing.. can someone help with this??? thanks in advance.

I tried that as well, but it doesnt seem to be working. I think its because somewhere information is being stored that this isnt my first time trying to setup an HTTP account. I tried completely reinstalling the client and yet it still gives me the same error.

Sajid753,
Did you ever try to change the location of your http mailbox (i.e. put it on another drive)? Or did you try to import the files from a different application like Outlook Express?
First thing I would do is to delete the Email account via the Tools --> accounts option. Then, close Outlook and re-open it. Then re-add the http account.
When I was setting up my hotmail account in outlook, I kept adding and deleting it. When i looked at the folders, I ended up with about 5 hotmail accounts. They went away after I closed and re-opened outlook though.

i tried that but it didnt work. Any other ideas? I gota figure out how to do a COMPLETE uninstall of outlook and then try to reload it. Im pretty sure that will fix my problem.
Also, does it matter if the machine has outlook express on it too? But that too is empty..no mail configuration.
