Recovering an Installed Windows
I had dual boot (Win 98SE on c: & Win XP Pro. on e : ) .I had to format my c: & reinstall Win 98.Now after reinstalling,I no longer get the option of choosing the operating system on startup. But still I have the Win XP files on my E:.Is there any way that I can again recover my dual boot option at the startup without reinstalling Win XP.

You could try adding this line to the bottom of the boot.ini file in your 98 root directory.
E:\="Microsoft Windows XP Professional"

I`ve chenged the Folder Options to "Show all Files" & then used the "Find Files or Folders" to search for boot.ini file but couldn`t find it.
How can I find it

I thought the boot.ini file was located in the root directory of C:
C:\BOOT.INI
I could be mistaken because it has been a while since I last used windows 98.

It is stored in the XP drive.. so in your case drive E:
Best thing to do Muhammad,
is to get your XP CDROM, boot to it, run the recovery console:
If you have Windows NT / 2000 / XP, you can boot from startup floppy disks or CD-ROM, choose repair option during setup, and run Recovery Console. When you are logged on, you can run FIXMBR command to fix MBR.
You'll need to know your Admin password for that operation.
ONce you run the Fix, you should get your dual boot back. Providing you didn't delete any needed files for XP.
Have a look at the link I posted below on fixing the MBR. I have had to use this when I dual booted Windows XP and Redhat 9.0.

Hope that helps.
