Time Index error¿

Sorry, not sure what the topic should be...

Having a problem connecting to the net when using IE and mIRC, although other browsers seem to work ok (Avent & Firebird). :-S Just recovered from a driver crash which said something about a time index problem with my usb radio driver, rebooted and now this happens. :-\
Also my firewall is displaying creation times as 00/.../00 00:00:00 for IE and mIRC.

Pleeease help :-)

humm, not sure for that error, but I suggest that you look at the properties for your time display first (Control Panel>Date and Time) Check your time zone, that you have your clock running. Next go to Reginal And Language options in the control Panel.
Check your settings for Displaying the Time and Date. I had problem with some Vb programs at work because they expect mm/dd/yyyy format.
If nothing seems wrong, since you mentioned having earlier problems with a driver, check your device manager to see if there are any conflicts or warnings.

Thanks for the reply.
Had a look at all the time settings, and everything appears ok. Although i noticed i had US time settings & not UK, so thanks for that one ;-)
Been testing different things and still can't come up with much appart from now i know that there is only a problem when specifying the proxy server to the same as my gateway, although if i specify an outside proxy instead it seems to work fine. :-S

I run out of ideas for now.
I check on the web, and google just game me a lot of Time error (there must be millions )
Have you check your Event Log for Aplication and System??
There you might have a more specific error with an ID

Do this
Have everything ready to create the error.
Open 2 Event log windows (one for System one for Aplication)
produce the error, and then refresh the 2 logs to see which are the new items

Found the problem :-) although it was with something I completely forgot that i'd installed recently... MS Virtual PC ! There was a problem with configuring an added Loopback adapter. :-S Sorry about that.
