    xp home

    a friend told me windows xp home edition was really bad and that i should bu xp pro i just wanted to know why its so bad and how it compares to xp pro

    Tell your friend he should go back to online chat where he may be an expert, XP Home is the same as Pro minus a few Administrative tools and network options.

    XP Home is as rock solid as XP Pro!

    FG gave it to you straight. XP home is good, i even used it at my work in BIG corporation.

    Some things that Home may lack are admin tools from Control Panel, and also Remote Assistance Connections, but I think this is easily enabled with the XP CD

    I find the Remote Desktop Connection feature of XP Pro invaluable. I can connect to my PC over the net and see the desktop as though I was infront of the actual machine.

    I agree, when I connect to your PC your desktop looks ok...but I think you should do something with your icons, never mind I'll fix um for ya...

    BTW that hidden folder you have is nice are they all over 18 ?
