Tell your friend he should go back to online chat where he may be an expert, XP Home is the same as Pro minus a few Administrative tools and network options.
XP Home is as rock solid as XP Pro!

FG gave it to you straight. XP home is good, i even used it at my work in BIG corporation.
Some things that Home may lack are admin tools from Control Panel, and also Remote Assistance Connections, but I think this is easily enabled with the XP CD![]()

I find the Remote Desktop Connection feature of XP Pro invaluable. I can connect to my PC over the net and see the desktop as though I was infront of the actual machine.
