Oh yeah, part of the whole hair pulling out proccess. I'm going to admit defeat temporarily as I'm pursing Cert training at the moment but I'll get back to it....oh yeah I'll get back to it.

Gonna put XP on another PC and use that for the all important audio and camera stuff.
When I track down what's going wrong I'll let ya know what it was.
