Netgear Router problem
My router is a Netgear DG834G. Working well with a network of 4 computers. I cannot 'block sites' from the router software. I can insert web addresses and key-words in the into the router, but computers on the network are still able to access blocked sites from the internet. Can anyone give me advice on this ??

basically you want to do content filtering.
The content filtering included with routers is quite basic to keywords in the address usually. There are some more complete solutions that include a proxy based aproach and a database. I am familiar with these systems for enterprise but not for home or small networks. However entering the terms "free content filtering" on google resulted in some interesting results.

Router Problems
Dehcbad25, Many thanks for that info.....I'll have a look at Google.
The router is supposed to have a 'blocking' service, but it just doesn't seem to work. Other routers I've had, had no problem with it.
I'll give Google a looking at.......
Many thanks Bowmanin lancs.
