default mail account?
I was using netscape as my mail account, but now switched to outlook express xp 2003. I disabled my netscape mail as being my default mail account (a setting within netscape). But when surfing and clicking to send mail... it pulls up netmail, not my OE account?( on both Netscape and IE). OE is set as my defualt mail and I can send/recieve mail within OE with no problem.
How do I get OE to come up when email something within a browser?
Thanks

You may have already tried this:
Open Outlook Express and go to Tools > Options. On the General tab click the Make Default button next to "This application is NOT the default Mail handler" and then click OK.

Try this:
Close OE and IE.
Go to Start > Run. Type in "C:\PROGRAM FILES\OUTLOOK EXPRESS\MSIMN.EXE" /reg (include quotes and make sure to leave the space between the last quote and the forward slash). Hit OK.

Have you checked within your Internet Options to see what it shows as the "default" mail app?

What program are you talking about when you say "internet options".
I've changed it within netscape (not default) and within Outlook, the 'make default' option is grayed out. as per one of my previous replys. Where else would I change a mail option?
???

Internet Explorer|Tools|Internet Options|Programs.
Can also be reached thru Control Panel by using the Internet Options icon.

THanks,
I went there via the control panel.
It was already set to Outlook express.
I am really confused now!
